Hey Loraine. So sorry to hear about your accident and injury….really sucks. Good news is that this surgery is now behind you and you are slowly on the mend…and getting the green light to pick up your guitar is huge! A little over ten years ago and only a little while into my own guitar journey, I took a header down some stairs and badly broke my left wrist. Required surgery, plates and pins to fix and hurt like hell for weeks. When I started physio and got the green light to start playing again, the therapist told me that playing would be excellent for healing and would speed up my recovery. Very slow going but after a few months made noticable progress. You got this sister…embrace your favourite guitar and stick to the program… you’ll get stronger and stronger and before long you’ll be rockin again.

Nice job Phil! Good playing and vocals together….playing and singing is always a challenge but you’ve nailed it. When Im learning a song I often speak the vocals first which helps with the timing and knowing when to come in on what note or chord change. Keep up the good work brother! Pushing 66….

Way to go Pete! thats a tricky riff with that percussion but you’re getting it down. Stay with it and it will become more and more natural. Rock on brother…thanks for posting!

First of all really nice pickin Rick…great technique and very smooth. sounded great, loved it… and youre right about perfection….we’ll never really achieve it, but trying to find it will lead to progress and i guess the harder we try, the better, and closer, we’ll get…hence the journey:) I listened to both your takes and for sure the attack of the picks really brings it. Just the fingers is nice too but more subtle. I grow my nails on my pickin hand for the same reason but requires lots of care and maintanance so have been thinking of trying out some picks. So thanks for the post brother and keep on making great music!

Awesome Phil and very inspiring! I have very little experience with any gadgets or electrics. Never even heard of a stomp box before! I do have an acoustic amp but dont plug in very often…however this is an area ive been wanting to explore so your post has got my wheels turning:) thanks brother keep on and stay well

Hey Tony thanks so much for watching and your encouraging comments. This was one of the very first songs I learned when I started so its a real good one to put on your list:) The way i play it is pretty simple…basic chords and you could strum or fingerpick…have fun learning it! Ive been inspired by many on this forum, so being able to pay it forward is humbling…good luck with your playing and making music my friend.
