Why I'm Here

Due to a hand injury when I was young I had to learn to play left handed.  Being a little bit dyslexic has served me well when looking at chord charts.  I’ve had a few lessons but never had the time to get serious.  TAC has provided a way for that to happen.  I have the cliche brands of guitars and continually have to fight my GAS disease-Guitar Acquisition Syndrome.  Hanging on my wall now is a Martin D28, Taylor 814e, Gibson J-45, Gibson SG, and a guitar that I haven’t been able to track any information down about it.  It is called Orlando and is made in Japan and is a nylon string guitar.

I love Bluegrass music but also play some contemporary Christian in church band.  We have a group called the Country Church Friends and our goal is to play at every nursing home in the county at least once a year.  We also do church services some Sundays and an occasional larger event.

I recently retired and moved to Ohio–hated to leave the band but closer to family.

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

My goals for the next three months are to improve accuracy with picking and to learn cross picking style.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

1.  In a perfect week I will play each day–7 times.

2.  Typically I play in mid-morning.  I’m lucky enough to have a quiet basement room that I can hide in.

3.  My basement room is called “The Cave” and it is relatively isolated from the rest of the house.
