Great Job. It’s not easy to make sure you hit every day. I think i’m back at 25 days and been on TAC for almost 2 years now. Again, good job.

@RudyB ,You don’t necessary have to spend a lot of money on a guitar to have an extra around. I bought a ½ size Cordoba (classical) off Amazon. Amazon gave me $100 off of a $165 guitar, ended up costing me $65. All I had to do is apply for their Visa. The Cordoba is a little smaller than my GS-mini and super easy on my fingers because it’s nylon strings. So I ended up using it for my alternated tuning guitar. I’m with you, I can tune my guitars, but I’m not fast at it. But, keep your eyes open for a used guitar because those small ones (typically a child’s guitar) go pretty cheap. Yeah, I know… just what I need another charge card laying around

Ok @jumpinjeff , You might not be able to pick up and play a guitar whenever you want, but you can play it in your head, whenever you want. When I’m learning a song (especially one that isn’t real easy). I play it over and over again in my head. Maybe it’s not really playing a physical guitar, but it’s the next best thing at times.

your correct, if your in jail, you won’t have a guitar. Lets try not to have that happen. 🙂

@Skyman, it’s awesome. I watched the video and there are so many good points with it. You are going to really love it. Like @Mrfredsporty said, get the guitar you dream of, now. Very excited to see what you pick to take home with you. Oh, does the store have a return policy? My store always gives a 45 days if I don’t fall helplessly in love with the guitar I chose. It takes a lot of pressure off your decision when you can try a guitar out for a couple of weeks. Good Luck

@David_Leo , I understand yearning for a guitar which is outside what you want to spend. But, an upgrade is a little different. When I bought my GS Mini i bought the standard because I was being practical. But I really liked the GS Mini Koa which was about $400 more. Now…. even thou I still love my GS-mini mahogany and use it a lot, I wish I would have spent the extra and got the Koa. of course, you have to stay within a budget.

Hey @Skyman,Love my GS Mini. It’s just a nice guitar to pick up at any
time. Great sound for a little
guitar. As for the 314 standard or the quilted
with edgeburst. I just pulled it up on
    Google. They are both beautiful
guitars. I do have to say the one with the
edge burst is awesome. I am attaching a
video I pulled up. It this your 314 with
    edgeburst your looking at? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk5OC5oHTvo
. Always remember , it’s only money. You don’t want to sit back next year and think, gee, I wish i would have bought the other.

That’s great @skyman ,you got the GS Mini for $199!! It’s a nice little guitar to have around and at a fantastic price. What do you think of the Taylor 314ce so far? I’ll have to check them out next time at the guitar store. It’s a little bigger than what I have now (Grand Concert). Just like to know how it fits.

@albert_d , that will mean 12 songs for the year! OMG!! and it’s the beginning of July! I have to start buckling down and learning new songs. I like to listen to the ‘play for us’. Sometimes there is a song that I thought was impossible to learn. But, watching someone actually play it made me realize that it was doable.

Thanks @albert_d, I get frustrated sometimes, that’s for sure. But, something as easy as the daily challenge gets me started for the day. 🙂

Thank you very much @Barry2021. I want to start recording some of the songs I can play to baseline my playing. I’ll try to get up one a month.

Thanks @Mrfredsporty. It’s different getting back into guitar playing from when I was younger, but i’m more structured now. I know what I want to accomplish and if I can’t get there. It will only be my fault. I can do this, as can all of us. We might not be the next big star, but we can be all we can be for the the present. THanks again for responding to my post.

Thank you @Moonhare , There isn’t any reason not to get better now. With the internet and zoom meetings you have learning at your finger tips. I sat in on a zoom meeting and i was enlighten with how it was run. Thanks again
