Why I'm Here

Been picking and singing’ for a long time. Favorite guitar is a Martin HD28 from 1991. Have a couple other Martins, but this is my favorite. Also a Gibson J45 Custom that runs a close second. My parents lived in West Virginia, but had to go to Pittsburgh for me to be born. West Virginia is beautiful. Spent 4 years at Valley Forge Military Academy. Graduated in 1966.

Went to Kent State Univ. in Ohio and learned to fly. After getting all my Commercial ratings. I was lucky enough to get a paying job flying night freight. That all got interrupted by the Air Force.

After 4 years there I got back into aviation. Started crop dusting. Added a commercial helicopter rating. Most of my adult years were in Texas. That’s where my heart is, and always will be.

Musically, I’m Texas Honky Tonk. I’ve been lucky enough to have had several notables in my band, especially Chuck Flynn on steel.

I’m a singer more than a picker, but always trying to improve.
