| Why I'm Here |
Hi All!
I’m excited to be here. I’ve been playing for about 20 years. I started when I was 18 and wanted to impress a girl. But then I joined the service and was overseas for a while, which actually gave me a lot of time to learn. But I’ve only recently been branching out into scales, leads, harmony, theory… basically everything. I spent most of those years just strumming, so I tend to have a pretty percussive style. But just got stuck in a rut. I joined to learn some new things, break some bad habits, and was just looking for an environment to grow as a musician in.
I look forward to learning with all of you. Checking out your performances, and getting to grow along with you.
I’ve played only acoustic until recently, and have been graced with a number of guitars throughout the years. Sometimes they stay for years, sometimes they’re around for a moment to get through a rough patch. But currently I’m playing a Martin CEO-7 and a Guild M-20, and a Waterloo Scissortail on the acoustic side. And on the Electric I’ve got a Airline Bighorn and a Snow White Gretsch 5422TDCG.

I'm a creator. And when I hear music that unlocks something I can't explain inside me… it makes me want to be able to do the same thing. I want to expand my ability to translate the unsayable.
