Self-taught, many moons ago, but life interrupted and the guitar was stashed away for years. While I was never very good,(I simply memorized chord shapes for specific songs)I had a desire to get back to playing and learning properly. My lovely wife surprised me on my birthday several years ago by giving me an Ovation guitar (I always wanted one)and that was the rekindling of my love for the guitar. I’ve slowly acquired several other guitars since then and am now spending serious time playing and trying to really understand the foundation of guitar.
