Why I'm Here

To focus my guitar learning so I don’t get stuck in a rut which is why I stopped 30 years ago and to be able to play a song all the way through rather than the mucking about that I used to do.

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

Well its nearly October and my next goal is to learn Every Breath She Takes by The Police.

I started playing around with this last year but have decided to tackle those difficult sections and post a video of the finished result. Posting a video of me playing Landslide recently and with all the wonderful comments has given me the impetus to try more difficult challenges.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

I have to say the daily challenges have really worked. The improvement in my playing has been more than I could have imagined. I am now a much better guitarist than I was when I played for 15 years when I was in my Twenties and thirties.

My routine is (after warming up my fingers and hands), the daily challenge at night on weekdays around 8pm which usually leads into 30mins to and hour of playing. Then I will usually play two to three hours on either Saturday or Sunday, sometimes both.

Practice will usually include the 90 day challenge that I have set for myself (usually a specific song) and then some soloing and a run through of other songs I read from tabs. At the moment that includes Perfect (Ed Sheeran), Hallelujah and Let Her Go (Passenger).

Plenty to keep busy.
