Why I'm Here | After 25 years, it’s time to re-learn guitar. Like many, I fumbled around with YouTube videos. Even took in-person lessons for about 3 months. I loved my teacher, but I was really making progress. During Tony’s intro video, he uttered the phrase “what do you want to learn today?”. That’s exactly what my teacher used to do. I knew then that TAC was where I needed to be. |

My Guitar Goal
What I'm Focused On Now | After a 25 year absence, my chops are shot. So, it’s time to get ’em back. In the next 30 days, I want to be able to play for the family, play around the campfire, simple stuff like that. In 3 months, I’d like to play in public. Not a lot of open mic nights here in Yuma. So, maybe, COVID-19 willing, I could take it into local retirement centers or the local recovery mission and play for the residents. To do that, I need to build skills and a repertoire of songs. |
My Guitar Routine
This is How I TAC | My guitar routine? Hmmm, never really had one…and that’s been the problem. I’ve been a noodler. But starting today, things are changing. My goal is to practice Monday-Friday during my lunch break. However, if today is any indication, I may have to change the time. I didn’t spend just 10 minutes. I spent over an hour. I think things will move more quickly as I progress. As for the weekends, Saturday is always hit or miss. If I do pick up the guitar on Saturday, it will likely be just a refresher of the week’s lessons, or maybe just mess-around time. The, Sunday, I plan to practice after church. It feels good to have a plan. |
