I own a 1973 Martin D-35 and 2017 Taylor 614CE (acoustics); my electric guitar is a 1986 Fender Strat (American Standard). I prefer playing acoustic. I’ve been playing since my senior year in high school (1969), largely self-taught and learned from other players over the years. Â Never took formal lessons, never learned to read music, not much theory knowledge. Â Good ear to pick up songs/chord changes. Â Joined to improve, escape my rut, and become better at improvising with better fret-board knowledge and navigation skills.
