| Why I'm Here |
History:
Like so many TAC members, I played guitar for a few years in high school and college and then ended up setting it aside while having a career and raising children. Now kids are graduated from college and I am ready to come back to the guitar and try to really give it more of a disciplined effort this time and I am enjoying savoring the sheer pleasure of it.
I started up again playing guitar in 2018 with what would be considered an “entry-level” Martin acoustic X-series guitar which still sounds beautiful to my ears. I have subsequently also acquired a birdseye maple Custom Martin Double O, a Fender Stratocaster, and a Bourgeois OMC Soloist.
I also still own a classical guitar that I bought in 1975 in Granada, Spain, from the man who made it.
Why I am here:
It is a quality of life issue. I love music. I think music is something of a miracle and being able to make a little music is magical. I am not sure I have tons of talent, but I have heart and persistence. Hopefully, these things will lead to some new forms of fun times with friends and family.
