Why I'm Here

I’m in my mid-fifties, getting back into music after a 30 year hiatus. I currently play a Larrivee OOO-3. But I have to admit that guitar isn’t really my instrument of choice; much of my practice time goes into the tenor sax, and I am lucky enough to own a ’51 Buescher 400 “Top Hat and Cane.” I also have 3 G&L electrics; one’s a Tribute ASAT Classic, the other two are vintage American SB-2 basses. So yeah, I like the low notes. I got started again with music when my daughter and I signed up for group guitar lessons with none-other-than Tony Polecastro himself. So yes, I do know Tony. And yes, I do give him credit for making it easy and fun and not-too-terribly embarrassing to pursue one of my lifelong dreams–making music.

City

Guitar helps me to understand theory. And theory is something I really want to have a better understanding of.
