    We’re Okay

Lost in you, where dreams replay
    Finding reason, not to stay
Trapped in memories, scores to pay
    Fighting instinct, time delay

    Looking forward, seize the day
    Following songs, trusted way
    Seeking mercy, in silence pray
    Finding solace, far away

    We’ll entwine, as bodies sway
    Discover path, our today
    Binding close, as emotions weigh
    Embracing love, come what may

We will bind, as bodies sway
    We can find, our today
We will bind, as sonnets play
    We can find, our cliché

Ignore the whispers, let them say
    On the path, they betray
    Bathe in colours, flames display
    Shine the light, you portray

    We’ll entwine, as bodies sway
    Discover path, our today
    Binding close, as emotions weigh
    Embracing love, come what may

We will bind, as bodies sway
    We can find, our today
We will bind, as sonnets play
    We can find, our cliché
    Love united, we’re excited
    Passion ignited, we’re okay
    We’re okay

We will bind, as bodies sway
    We can find, our today
We will bind, as sonnets play
    We can find, our cliché
    Love united, we’re excited
    Passion ignited, we’re okay
    We’re okay

    You Are Sin

A face familiar, like my own
Whispered words a truth, I’ve always known
A subtle unease, within your very core
A haunting splinter, a conscience we ignore

Use your gift, weave your stories
Sing of pain and love, and hopeless mourning
Search your soul, delve deep within
Sing the songs of virtue, let the dance begin

Who do you represent, claim to espy
Busy living you get rich, whilst others die
Soon you’ll find, no pockets in a shroud
Those you serve they’re all, now disavowed

I claim no poets rites Nor a prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin

    Miracles eclipsed, you couldn’t adapt
Providence belief, devoid of any fact
Stagnant progress, you failure to evolve
Spirits you sustain, they’re all now absolved

I claim no poets rites, Nor a prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin

    Condition of the human heart
    What is on your mind
Let others know there not alone
    Tell truths, expose the blind
    I claim no poets rites,
    I claim no prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin
    You are Sin

You know your reflection, the crimes you face
Avarice sold your soul, or faith you embrace

I claim no poets rites, Nor a prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin

    Condition of the human heart
    What is on your mind
Let others know there not alone
    Tell truths, expose the blind
    I claim no poets rites,
    I claim no prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin
    You are Sin

I claim no poets rites, Nor a prophet’s kin
But you embody vice, you are Sin

    Sailing Away

    Heading forward, no looking back,
    Making headway, on destiny’s tack.
Follow the charts, where tides collide,
Guided by stars, on oceans we glide.

Head to lands, unseen and untamed,
    Winds that whisper, surroundings unnamed.
    Following dreams, the passage weaves,
Echoes of the heart, heard in the breeze.

    The weather breaks, revealing course,
    Navigate seas, unwavering force.
    Heavens emerge, illuminate moorings,
    Nature unveiled, peaceful adoring.
    Far, Far, Far, Far
    Sailing away, evocative days,
    Exploring ways, to forgotten bays,
    Sailing away, sailing away.

    Heading uncharted, wayfaring souls,
To open waters, where mystery unfolds.
Follow the moment, passing the cape,
Embrace the journey, our mundane escape.

    Head for Horizons, rewards unfold,
    Glaciers and fjords, tales untold.
    Following desires, of distant shores,
    Passing way points, adventures doors.

    The weather breaks, revealing course,
    Navigate seas, unwavering force.
    Heavens emerge, illuminate moorings,
    Nature unveiled, peaceful adoring.
    Far, Far, Far, Far
    Sailing away, evocative days,
    Exploring ways, to forgotten bays,
    Sailing away, sailing away.

Silent Night / The News 2023

    Silent night
    Holy night
    All is calm
    All is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace

Good Evening. This is the News.

In Dubai the COP 28 conference on climate change has commenced. In his opening address the UN’s Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell, told the attendee’s “Do or do not. There is no try”.

COP28 President Sultan al-Jaber said allegations of duplicity made against him at the conference are aimed to undermine his COP28 presidency. As well as being the COP28 president, Mr Jaber is also CEO of the UAE’s giant state oil company, Adnoc, the second largest oil producer in the world.

Irish singer-songwriter and Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan has died aged 65, following a recent hospital stay after being diagnosed with encephalitis. MacGowan also had well-documented problems with drugs and alcohol.

In the Middle east, after a 7 day ceasefire and the release 110 hostages, Israel once again commenced it’s bombardment of Gaza. The Hamas-run health ministry said 178 civilians had been killed in the renewed attacks. Whilst Hamas launched rockets into Israel.

In Russia, Vladimir Putin has signed a decree increasing Russian troop numbers by 15% to assist the war effort in the Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zalensky has said his forces have gained a foothold on the eastern bank of the Dnipro river.

Former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger has died. The German-born former diplomat passed away at his home in Connecticut at the age of 100. In 1973, Kissinger was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize after negotiating the Paris Peace Accords to end US involvement in the Vietnam War.

And that’s the latest edition of the News. Goodnight

    Passing Time

    A passing moment, passing disturbs
    A passing voice, passing words
    A passing thought, passing grew
    A passing truth, passing knew

    A passing challenge, passing by
    A passing wisdom, asking why

    A passing shadow, passing verdict
    A passing sorrow, passing worship
    A passing malaise, passing reviewed
    A passing madness, passing subdued

    A passing storm, passing by
A passing grace, showed you tried

I don’t know, what I can do, what I can say, to help you through
I don’t know, what I can do, except to say, I’m here for you
    Watching, waiting, passing, decline
    Watching, waiting, passing, time

    A passing whisper, passing judgement
    A passing glory, passing reluctant
    A passing phase, passing through
    A passing chance, passing pursued

    A passing tribute, passing by
    A passing torch, saying goodbye

I don’t know, what I can do, what I can say, to help you through
I don’t know, what I can do, except to say, I’m here for you
    Watching, waiting, passing, decline
    Watching, waiting, passing, time

    Watching, waiting, passing, decline
    Watching, waiting, passing, time

    Too Close

What you gonna feel, what you gonna defend
What you gonna believe, faced with the end
Who you gonna thank, how you gonna survive
What you gonna tell, those left behind

What you gonna pray, what you gonna send
What you gonna request, close to the end
Who you gonna call, how you gonna decide
What you gonna tell, those left behind

    140 miles, too close
    Ground shuddered, severed ropes
    150, Khumbu Ghosts
    Spirits broken, finding hope

    Barrage emerges, whiteout surges
Camp distorting, to the light were crawling
    The light is calling

What we gonna recite, what we gonna commend
What we gonna mourn, here at the end
Who we gonna lament, how we gonna shine
What we gonna tell, those left behind

    140 miles, too close
    Ground shuddered, fear evoked
    3 5 9, souls surprised
    No escape, Moira rises

    Barrage emerging, whiteout surging
Camp distorting, to the light were crawling
    The light is calling
    140 miles, too close

    Barrage emerging, whiteout surging
Camp distorting, to the light were crawling
    The Light Forming
    The light is calling

    One Wish

We’ve loved each other once before
A different time a different shore
Though you won’t remember our embraces
    Moments together forgotten cadence

I’d take you back, to the start
Before the time we had to part
    Choices made we got wrong
Torn away from where we belong

    Take Us Back

All this time we’ve spent apart
Trying to heal a broken heart
    Never happened, never mourned
    Lonely and desperate nevermore

    Different faces, different places
    Same attraction, same reaction

If I could have a single wish
I’d take us back to innocent bliss
Sharing each other with longing eyes
    Making love under empyrean skies

I’ll take you back to the start
    Trusted secrets pure of heart
Another chance to make it right
Reclaim those lost and lonely nights

    Take Us Back

We’d sail away to distant shores
    New horizons, with open doors
    Chasing dreams of foreign lands
    Warm embraces on exotic sands

    Different faces, different places
    Same attraction, same reaction

If I could have a single wish
I’d take us back to innocent bliss
Share each other with longing eyes
    Making love under empyrean skies
    Making love under empyrean skies

If I could have a single wish
    A single wish
