    I have a similar issue and even resorted to Googling pictures of hands to see if my pinkie looked unusually short. It is worth noting where Tony places his thumb. It appears his thumb is behind the neck, rather than over it. This seems to allow the whole fretting hand to rotate and make it easier (not easy) to reach the correct string with the pinkie.
