Awesome! Looks to me like you’ve got that pattern pretty well locked down! Really enjoyed the melody and lyrics. As someone with no songwriting experience, I’m curious: given your background, do you start with composing for keyboards, then transpose to guitar, or do you have guitar in mind from the beginning? I’ve been reading that fingerstyle guitar patterns are fun to play on piano. Some of my favourite singer-songwriters are keyboard players or multi-instrumentalists like yourself, and I’d love to try learning that instrument someday if and when I ever get a decent handle on my guitar playing first!😄

Best wishes for a full and fast recovery!

Many thanks for this! Ever since doing the stretching course I’ve been meaning to create something similar, now I don’t need to! I’m finally starting to appreciate the need to make these preventative stretches a daily habit.

Beautiful job! That looks like a pretty challenging song to play – but you handle it very nicely, especially on those tricky base runs. I’d imagine it must be especially tough to sing and play it while keeping in sync! As a beginner finger picker, I find your performance very inspiring!

Not sure, but maybe you’re in the same boat as me and many others – waiting for the new version of FW to become available? Latest email from Tony says tomorrow morning will offer us a glimpse and a sample lesson before the limited time offer starts on Monday. Many long time TAC folks have given it rave reviews, but for me the price is going to be a big factor. Looking forward to the preview.

Awesome! Believe me, I know how you feel. I still can’t get consistent results with my barre chords, but when it happens it’s so damn satisfying😃 A very big small win! Doesn’t TAC make you feel like you’ll get it eventually, if you just keep plugging!?

That’s terrific! What a great feeling it must be! I’m not there yet, but take inspiration from hearing stories like yours😀

Well, we TAC folks who were not FW subscribers are all waiting anxiously for Monday now when we are to receive an email outlining the new program! From what you all have said in the forums, it sounds like a no-brainer decision, but of course the cost will be a huge factor. Stay tuned for Monday…..😆

I’ve made it to 129 since joining in May this year, but will probably miss a few days at the end of this month when we go away for a short vacation. I don’t think it will bother me much to end my streak – the number that really matters is the playing sessions, right? If I’m picking up my guitar 95% of days, I’m doing much better than I was pre-TAC. And I get what you say about the program – before TAC all I was really trying to do was learn songs, but Tony has opened my eyes to so many more aspects of becoming a musician🙂

Wow, it is certainly a gorgeous instrument! But did I miss a previous post where you gave all us geeks the complete rundown on woods, body style, etc?! Really enjoyed listening to you singing and playing it in the other forum!

Beautiful! Pretty hard to beat playing your own song on your own custom guitar! Congrats – I’m sure you’ll be enjoying that feeling for a long time to come😀

I was never that interested in the music theory stuff before, figuring it wasn’t really needed so much to just play songs and strum and sing. But after 4 months with Tony’s system, I am finding myself wanting to be further and further immersed in every aspect of the journey. Especially on Wednesday – Improv day still stymies me mostly, but now I’m looking at it as a challenge instead of a hopeless cause!

I have rented guitars on several occasions, and the cost is surprisingly modest. There must be some pretty big stores in Hawaii, hopefully you can find one that offers that option. If not, then maybe just checking in with TAC and reviewing your progress is enough? Sometimes I wonder if a break from playing now and then is a good thing – the muscle memory you’ve built really doesn’t decay that fast!

I agree with you totally about Brian at Active Melody. I signed on there a couple of months back, but so far find most of his lessons a little above my abilities at present. But I have found several helpful hints on spicing up my playing with various embellishments, etc. No doubt I’ll be able to benefit more as my guitar knowledge and skills grow. I am starting on a Finger Style Blues course with Udemy, so we’ll see how that goes. Meanwhile I am finding TAC to be a fantastic program to encourage my regular progress.
