Congrats, Geoff. I’m on Day 36 as of today (I even took my guitar on a recent business trip so I could maintain my streak away from home.) You’re putting in the time, and that’s the most important part (besides having fun). Keep up the good work!

Hey, Salty. I just bought an Ovation CE44-4. Retail was $529. I am extremely happy with the guitar. Solid spruce top and the fit and finish is very good. It is acoustic/electric with a built in tuner. I also have an Epiphone Texan that is about 20+ years old that I bought new. Also solid top. I love that guitar. I used to play at a weekly sing-around and that guitar held up very well amongst the Martins, Gibsons and occasional Taylor. They don’t make my exact model anymore but they do make a similar J-45 with a solid sitka top that retails at a crazy low $289. My opinion: look for a solid top and laminated sides. You can find quite a lot in that config within your budget.
HaHa. Should have looked at the last post! Anyway, congrats on the new addition. Nothing like taking a new guitar home!

@marty69 @cadgirl Indeed! Love my Shubb capo! Just wanted to try the transposition thing to work on my theory. 🤟 Keep on rockin’ (in the Free World). 😄
