Started playing guitar as a kid when we had vinyl records to listen and learn from. Played in several locally moderately successful garage rock bands. Stopped playing when I got married and had kids until the youngest boy was about 10 and started teaching him to play. All the chops haven’t come back yet but I’m an overall much better player now, and can sing. Still have the amps from the day when big was better, my fav is a 64 bandmaster. I like Hagstrom electric guitars, I have 2 Vikings and a II. Lately I’ve purchased a Line 6 Variax with is a digital processing guitar emulating 26 other guitars also has pickups, looks like a strat and i use a Live X Pod with it, that combination can create about any kind of any combination of sound one could imagine. Lately I play more acoustic with a band called Dont Fret. Kind of a church, old folk, bluegrass band. None of that was my forte. Have learned about music from this group of eclectic musicians. Acoustically I mainly play a Gibson Songwriter. Have also a Gibson LGO, Yamaha 730ce, Ovation 12 string, an Ibanez (which has the best tone and projection besides the Gibson) and a Takmine.
