Hello! I can only add one more suggestion to the excellent tips from Loraine and Carol. I play a classical Cordoba and steel string Martin (I learned on a classical first). The first three strings on a classical are nylon. All the classical strings have less tension than a steel string folk/blues guitar. The classical does not have the vibrant sound of the steel strings, but fretting/playing notes is much easier, less pressure……and I use a pick (very new to me) with both.
Also, depending on your hand size and reach, the classical guitar comes in a student size ( 3/4 of the standard size ) as well.
Keep at it! 🙂

Hello! Good for you!
There have been times when I’ve missed playing for a week….times when I missed signing into TAC for more…..
The last few months I’ve been pretty good doing Tony’s 10-minute rule.
Again, good for you and keep playing those strings!! 🙂

Hi! So many good guitar playing tips and stories of guitar journeys ! Thanks for sharing everyone!
After joining last year, I did not feel comfortable with the Daily Challenge for months. I went the 60 Days to Play route and did all the Getting Started courses under Skill Courses 2x….little at a time.
Hope tomorrow is a better day! 🙂

Hello! Ditto all the good info Kim mentioned! Posting the lesson you had trouble with would help.
Make sure you finish the course 30 Days to Play first….
I read some comments concerning the first two lessons in Fretboard Wizard…..
Quite a few members commented on the course Foundations of Fretboard Navigation.
It’s under Skill Courses – Fretboard Skills – Foundations of Fretboard Navigation.
They said it was helpful going thru that course before/with Fretboard Wizard.
Keep at it!!

Hello! Pages here seem to take the 2-4 seconds to load like you described.
The side bar issue is not a problem on my end…
I’m not a tech or computer person, so I really don’t have any suggestions other than to send a note to the Support crew…they were a big help when I first tried signing up for TAC.

Tern,
Ditto all of Loraine’s tips! (capo is a good one)……My hands are small and reaching can be tough. I agree with the parlor size guitar. They are also known ’00’ or double 0….depending on the make and model.
If I may suggest a classical student guitar as well. The classical guitar is a lot easier on your fingers (mine too!). The student classical guitar is 3/4 of a full-size model. I would definitely try one out at a guitar dealer in person.
Seven,
Did you mean to say 3/4 size guitar? Your guitar should be fine for all the courses here.
