Thank you for sharing PickinmyPocket,
I am on week two and I am feeling he same way. I feel like I should be practicing a lot more to get what Tony is teaching down, so I can actually do it. I am doing my best to do what the team is saying to stay around 10 minutes of practice per day, which is extremely hard because I want to be able to do what Tony is teaching in the video.

I just purchased the Ernie Ball Axe Capo from Amazon which was only $21 CDN. I should receive it Monday.
Thanks everyone for your feedback and advice.

Makes sense, I understand this is going to take time.

<div>Hey Big Jim, </div>
Welcome to the community. I can feel things are slowly coming together. This weekend I have been working on C, G and D chords. Just going back and forth between them, trying to cut down my time to transition.
The Power Cord video I need to go back through a few times because I am having trouble putting my fingers in the right position.

Thanks Albert, my question to you is can you now read TAB’s and play with that song?
-
Thank you Bryan for answering my questions. For me personally it is hard not to try to see where I can reach certain milestones and push myself to achieve them. I can feel the calluses already building up on my finger tips.
My expectations are that there are members that are coming in not knowing how to play and can benchmark that with in “x months” they were able to play their first song…etc.

Thanks Moose, I really appreciate you answering my questions.

First let me say congratulations on being able to play Hotel California after you first 50 days, that’s amazing!
Very true it a lot of work coordination between fretting with one hand while strumming with the other. Muscle memory of chords and finger positions. Yes calluses are forming lol. Rhythm and tempo…etc.
Are you just using TAC as your main guitar training?
How many minutes do you practice per day?
Are you using the other course you purchased with TAC or are you just using TAC?
I am looking forward to hear where you are in 90 days.

Let me first say, I am happy you feel better Moose lol
9 Months, way to go! I would love to hear about your first 6 months and what you could do at that the 6 month mark. Then It sounds like you found TAC didn’t get you prepared to play songs and that was a reason you find another training, is that correct?
What supplementary program did you use to help you play songs? Did you also let TAC know that was a limitation of the TAC program so they can improve it for all of us?
Also, can you go into a little more detail regarding “helped me with improve”? What type of improv are you referring to and what did TAC teach you that helped with improv?
lol, I read through this list of guitar techniques and laughed to myself because I had no clue what you were referring to “palm muting, hammer-ons & pull-offs, scales, double-stops…etc”. I am still trying to learn the C and G chord lol.

Hi Beatrice,
You’re right, I have been looking through the win forum to see if there were some great success stories to read from and get motivated. I didn’t see any so far.
I do hope for sure we are the next ones.
I am hoping TAC is the one program for me for at least the next year to get me to a place where I feel I can play the guitar around a camp fire in the next 6 months to a year. I am not looking to go on tour just yet lol.
That is great you are seeing progress in your playing. How long have you been with TAC? Did you start as a beginner? How’s your playing now, are you able to play a few songs?

Thank you for your response,
I would normally practice until I felt I got it. The challenge of that is it could take me hours and/or days to get it and a lot of frustration.
What I am trying to do is do something different and follow what Tony has advised to only do 10 minutes of practice. Then consider that a win versus mastering what he has taught. That is where I feel it is hard because I want to be able to get it, I do know logically this is not going to happen overnight and is going to take months to learn what he is teaching. It’s more about going through the process then learning the skill.
I have come to accept that the 30 Days to play challenge is technically going to be a 90+ Days to Play challenge for myself. I will need to go back through what he has taught again and again until I will be able to do it.
The Blues Shuffle, Blues Bassline, Blues Boggie, Chords…etc. are going to take some time until I get them down so that I can play them with the videos.
