Why I'm Here

After years of wanting to play guitar and even owning a guitar I could not play, I finally committed to learning. In the past I had always bailed on guitar lessons because I sounded so awful. At some I realized I was going to have accept being lousy as a step on the path to learning. I’m not lousy anymore, and it feels good to be able to say that.

I still have a long way to go.

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

I’m fairly good at strumming and singing along while I play.

The big gaps I’d like to close are my ability to incorporate single note picking into my strumming … and to take that a step further … incorporate riffs and runs to make an overall song less repetitive and more interesting to listen to.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

I’m committed to playing every weekday to complete the daily lessons. But I do tend to play a lot on the weekends, too. The weekend playing is usually just pure entertainment, playing songs I know and learning new songs … some review of the lessons, but not dedicated to that.

I play generally in the mornings before work, in my office, seated at my desk in front of my computer.
