| This is How I TAC |
I try to play daily for 30 minutes usually in the living room where all my equipment is or in the bedroom, whichever is less distracting. Most often in the evenings. I have noticed that when I pick up the guitar cold, I play really awful. It takes about 15-20 mins for me to get into a better playing groove. But I feel my skill level has plateaued.
To help keep me motivated I change up my toys. I have several guitars: a Gretsch with 2 single coil pickups; an Epiphone Les Paul clone with twin humbucker pick-ups; a Fender electric Bass; a Fender 6-string acoustic; and my Mitchell 12-string. I have 3-amp heads: a MarkBass 500w bass amp; a Fender Bandmaster 45w; and a Marshall TSL100. All this sound is piped to two 8-ohm Seismic speakers: a 15in bass floor speaker enclosure; and stacked with a Seismic twin 12in speaker cabinet. I have also acquired 3 floor stomp pedal boxes from Electro-Harmonics: Big Fuzz, Flanger, and Compressor. You can really experiment on your tone for hours while going deaf at the same time. Ha! Rock On…
