Why I'm Here

After years of owning guitars, “dabbling” off and on while trying to teach myself with various song books and methods, and even taking a few in-person lessons years ago (with very little success), I was really attracted to the format of TAC. The idea of short, meaningful exercises/lessons each day and hopefully learning songs via reasonably manageable “chunks” sounded like the most useful way for me to actually get some functional PRACTICE time and be exposed to a variety of new things. 😀 Can’t read music even after being forced to take piano lessons for a couple years as a kid, and I even struggle pretty badly with “tab”, so the videos are extremely valuable to me! 😀

Mostly for the sense of personal satisfaction, sense of accomplishment and the "outlet" that playing provides. I also "dream" of someday getting "good enough" to actually play at least one, and maybe even a few to several songs for family and friends, maybe even a retirement center or other places where live music is appreciated even if not performed "perfectly". I don't sing at all, so the guitar would have to completely carry the song(s).

Having something to look forward to… new experiences, new ideas.. that's not just cool/fun for young people! 😀
