My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

Learn Barr Chords to play “Sitting on the dock of the bay”.

To begin my journey…. I had a car accident when I was 19 years old. It was a pretty bad accident and spent months in the hospital and in recovery. During the accident, I hit a tree at 65 miles per hour. The engine came through the front dashboard, removed the passenger seat and part of my seat (drivers). I had burns to my right leg (from the engine hitting it), burns to my right arm, burns to my left foot but most important to this conversation, I broke my left wrist.

My left wrist never really recovered to play barr chords well. It is still very difficult but I am determined to keep stretching my wrist and fingers to accomplish this goal. I am getting better at them everyday.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

I play at 8:15 am every morning even weekends in my living room on my couch for at least 15 min a day.

I also play throughout the day depending upon my schedule. I listen to the Daily Acoustic Challenge and favorite the daily challenge that I want to return too later. I find that I need to concentrate on my 90-day challenge to accomplish that goal. I will come back and learn more techniques as I progress through my guitar geek  journey.

1. I try to learn something new each day

2. I practice older routines to keep them current and accessible

3. I play songs with the artists to get timing correct
