Why I'm Here

Wow, can’t believe it’s been 5 years since what I wrote below.  I think I’ll keep it just to remember how I got started here 🙂

So new updates…  My son, Gavan actually did come howling into the world.  Embilical cord was wrapped around his neck, arm, chest, and leg… very stressful night LOL!  And with him my world changed a bit.  Mostly for the better (My kids are amazing) but some not so better.  Had to change jobs to be closer to home in order to pick up the kids from preschool and that put us in a financial bind a bit.  Had to sell all my music gear including my wonderful Breedlove all myrtlewood concert acoustic.  That was a very sad day.

Fast forward 5 years and we’re doing much better.  Sold our house and in two weeks we’re starting a new chapter of our lives in Maine.  Beautiful property bordering a very peaceful stream which inspired me to purchase another Breedlove myrtlewood acoustic.  This time a concerto (dreadnought) body style.  Sounds amazing.  So the first bit of downtime I got from packing boxes, I went looking for Tony.  The site’s changed a little bit.  Looking forward to getting back to where I was when I stopped playing and seeing where the progress takes me.  Really missed being here and glad to be back!

——————— Old Profile Blurb ——————————–

Louisiana transplant currently living in Massachusetts.  Although, as of this year, I’ll have been living in MA longer than I have anywhere else which just feels strange, LOL 🙂

I’m married to my beautiful wife who I’ve been together with for 12 years and we have a wonderfully spunky threenager named Maggie, who keeps me smiling and a new son due to come howling into the world sometime towards the end of May!

I’ve been playing music since the 5th grade.  Started out with trumpet and then moved to baritone.  When I hit college I started learning the cello.  It’s still one of my go-to instruments.  Once I hit the real world I started playing the bagpipes.  Scottish heritage… had to be done 😉  Then I moved on to electric guitar, electric bass and then drums!

I came across a TAC ad while watching videos of different electric guitars and amps and since the live seminar started in 30 minutes.. I decided why not?!?   And here I am!

Loving the lessons and the community is fantastic!

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

My guitar goal for the next three months is to re-get started.  So I’ll run through the 30 days to play and then start on the daily challenges.  See where the music takes me 🙂

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

Perfect week?  7 days for at least 10 minutes a day.  I will play after I feed the dog.  That’s usually when I have some down time.  Not sure where I’ll play yet.  We’re moving to a new house in a couple of weeks and haven’t really worked out where everything is going yet.  Ideally, I’ll be playing outside by the stream that borders our new property, but it might take a while for me to get a spot cleared out for it 🙂  So maybe the side porch that faces the stream for now depending on how bad the black flies get this year LOL!
