Why I'm Here

I’ve been playing harmonica a long time and was the frontman in a couple of blues/rock bands but have had a guitar for a while. I decided to get serious about it 4 years ago and started playing regularly, although at jams I usually grab one of my harps to play because I can jam well with it and there are usually already plenty of guitar players. I’ve learned around 30 songs that I strum and sing, most of them pretty easy, and around 10 country blues fingerpicking songs.

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

My guitar goal for the next 3 months is to become more precise with my flat-picking and to not look at my hands while I am playing.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

I’ve committed to playing 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, for 20 minutes a day (and band practice once a week!), because this is an amount of time that I can realistically achieve.

I play first thing in the morning, while I have my coffee. I find myself bounding out of the bed, looking forward to getting some playing time in.

I play downstairs in my Man-Cave. No one can hear me down there so I am free to make mistakes and work on new things without any performance anxiety.Â
