| Why I'm Here |
My first introduction to the guitar was in high school (40 years ago) and I loved it, however poor instruction and girls got in my way of progressing beyond a beginner level. About 2 years ago I decided I was going to learn to read music and with the wealth of information on the web I have learned a lot about music theory. About a year ago I picked up my guitar and started to play again. I have reached a point where I feel lost and don’t know what to practice and I am basically where Tony was with playing intros to popular songs and scales. I hope I can move on to the next level here. I have no ambition of being a Rock Star but would like to get good enough to play in a local band or maybe even become a studio musician. But hey I need to learn a song or two first.

I am retired and a lot of the pressures of life have been lifted off of me. Learning to play music is important to help me keep my mind active. As well as involve my family and friends.
