Carol-3M-Stillhand–
Hello– It says you posted- (or, I guess “updated”)- in here, but I don’t see your post.
Seems like I see that once in a while- where it says there was a post– but there was no post.
Maybe give it another go?
Anyway– I think being able to get a small peek into FretWiz is a reasonable ask.

MrFred-
Love this story.
From what I remember, I think this kind of walk home has happened to me, too😜😳……
Maybe twice…….
-
Jeff-
As is my luck- (I certainly couldn’t be my lack of computer-stuff knowledge😜), I tried to post a video with my best/worst guitar face. I couldn’t tell if it looked like I was mad at someone or if I just had to go to the bathroom…… Somewhere between funny and odd. Maybe seeing my goofy face-yoga would’ve made it easier for others to post theirs…..
Anyway- (not trying to sidetrack your post-idea)- when I “pasted” it in, and then hit “post” it showed up in the thread OK, but it was in the “pink screen of death”. (This has happened before to me). To check and see if it “made it”, I go “back” (hit the “Forums” button), and when the thread comes back up– my (pink) post is nowhere to be found.
The only videos I’ve been able to post have been on there “own” (new) thread-post…. like if I create a NEW thread- as in, say, a new “Play For Us” post.
If I try to “reply” to an existing thread- (like this one) with a video…. it’s “pink screen” time.
Anyway- Again- I don’t want to lose the focus on your great thread-idea–
Guitar-Faces. This could be great!!! I wanna see ’em, too!!!

Flagguy–
My two cents–
Make sure you do your stretching exercises– (at least some of them)– before every session.
Tip- when you’re pullin’, pushin’, and stretching your fretting-hand fingers—– try to keep that arm straight– so that you’ll feel the stretching from your fingers go clear up into your arm…… THAT part is what’s really helpful.
When playing those chords that are a bit of a “reach”, your (fore)arm gets tired before your fingers themselves will.

I can’t possibly add anything better than what Bill_Brown and Kitman have said here.
(Great minds🤨 think alike!– I’ve been off the radar for two weeks now, myself– but then JumpinJeff and Mike G drug me back in!!!- I love their perspectives on things!)
Glad- as always- to hear from you.

Mike-
Thanks as always for your informational post!
There’s zero doubt that I certainly don’t realize all the work that goes into a re-do of something like the entire TAC program– or even the FretWiz portion inside it. Cripes– I have trouble posting a video!🙃
I/we also appreciate the efforts behind the scenes that you and many others have put in helping/trying to push the TAC team along, on the new FretWiz course.
I know that whole discussion has been run up the flagpole quite a few times in here- (and I’m sorry if this post takes off in THAT direction– not what I was going for at all)- to have yet another post on when the new course was coming out….😒
I think what I was— trying— to emphasize- (please accept my apologies if I didn’t do a good enough job at it)- that it would be great if there was some way– ANY way– to get a “controlled” peek into the Fretboard Wizard. New one- nope- (it’s not ready, and I get that)—– but maybe the “old” version?
As I mentioned- all I want to do is get a little peek in there to SEE if it’s right for me.
You wouldn’t buy a new car without takin’ a test drive, or even buy a new pair of shoes without a test drive, or a quick “try on” would you? Even if you KNOW it’s good quality- you still need to feel how it “fits”…..🤔
I guess that’s maybe what I’m really askin’……
TOC- (I like that!)

Yeah—- me too. Way more than twice. But damn, it “seemed like a good idea at the time”.🙃. (now there’s a song title for ya’)
-
Jeff- thanks.
As I mentioned– I’m sure the problem’s “at my end”. I’ll keep monkeyin’ with it till I get it. I’m stubborn that way. Like a dog with a mouthful of mailman-leg. I’ll get it.
All the best, my philosophical friend–
I hope you get some “guitar-face” videos!!!!

Dave– Did it “appear” in the “pink screen of death”? (I think it was Cadgirl who first use that term😆). If so- don’t feel alone. It has happened to quite a few of us.
And I feel ya’– it’s pretty frustrating to write out a well-thought-out post, check it all for various mistakes, and then finally hit “post”….. only to have it go POOF……. gone.😒
-
Like wine tasting I guess- if it tastes good– it IS good.🤔

Man, I would love to have the ability to assemble some sort of jingle just from an idea or thought, and then maybe improve it from there over time.
(I’m assuming you guys aren’t just messin’ with me🤔😄).
Maybe I’ll be able to do that after I learn a LOT more.
I’ve been doing some reading and thinking about guitar-things lately, including some on this subject. Latest pick-up– “No Bull Music Theory for Guitarists” by James Shipway. I’m NOT a big “reader-person”- so this book is a perfect fit for me- (I’m on my second time thru it). Because I believe I also have the “golden retriever in a forest full of squirrels” trait………. (now THERE’S a song!)
Can’t wait till Fretboard Wizard comes out!

You’re standing at the North Pole, looking out at the horizon. Then you turn yourself around 180 degrees, and look the exact opposite direction……
In both cases—- looking in opposite directions—- (looking in ANY direction, really)—– you are looking the SAME direction.
South.
Maybe in learning guitar, we’re ALL “standing at the North Pole”……. and then we head out, on foot, on our own, unique, guitar journey.
We surely will all have different paths- no doubt some completely opposite direction from some other……
But no matter which way we go…… we are all headed in the same direction.
