I want to improve my chord knowledge and transitions. I want to be able to consistently play the C chord without buzzing and muting strings so I can eventually start learning to play Dust in the Wind by Kansas. I am also taking private guitar lessons from two instructors and I am working on learning Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.  I have been practicing chord transitions by playing About a Girl by Nirvana.

Since I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 Hodkins Lymphoma on 12/26/2026, I have undergone intensive chemotherapy for the past six months. It has caused neuropathy in my feet and hands, which make playing the guitar challenging.  (only my hands, cannot play with my feet…lol)

While I prefer the electric guitar as it is much easier on my fretting fingers, I am growing fonder of the simplicity of the acoustic.

Currently I only own a Taylor 214 CE Plus grand auditorium, but will likely get another Taylor 12 string as many of my favorite songs utilize the 12 string guitar.

I have several long term goals, but since they may change before 90 to 365 days, I will stay in the moment, take one day at a time, and work on my short term goals for now.
