You are so right. I’m At almost 200. As I used to say when I had my Harleys,”some days you’re the windshield and some days you’re the bug”. Kind of describes my adventure here

Now my guitar never goes in the case but sits beside me. I also realize that I’m only going to play some of the challenges ok.i also decided to learn songs from my era for nostalgic reasons and to help remember those times “ when I wore a younger man’s clothes “. So now I call myself a “folk croaker” who plays my version of mostly old Bob Dylan type songs.i get a couple things from the challenges every once in awhile and am really starting to get better. Stick with it and show up!

Ta da ! Yup not demanding that you be perfect AND showing up seem to me to be the top 2 rules of progress.

For me the next step was exposing myself to the daily challenge with the understanding that most of it will be above me for awhile just getting a little snippet of knowledge EVERYDAY.also on you tube look for a simple song you like and learn it in conjunction with tac. Keep on truckin.

Eehaw! Getting over a stumbling barrier is always great feeling.my major barrier I can’t quite seem to surpass is fingerpicking and playing a separate melody at the same time. I might croak before I beat it

Winning is always better than whining which is what I’ll be doing for the next couple of weeks having my guitar worked on.

Sounding professional. I especially like the harmonics. Wish it had shown you playing so well
