One thing I’m just beginning to work (have a LONG way to go) is palm muting which I think would fit in great with your rendition.

Great question. the hd is almost identical to the regular d28 except that it has herringbone purfiling and the braces are scalloped for slightly better initial response for the top. I figured “in for a penny, in for a pound”. even though im not really worthy of this great guitar I decided to get it and grow into it so to speak. at my age if I dont get what I want Ill croak before I ever experience it. I dfinitely will be learning as much as possible as fast as possible. check it out on youtube. It should be arriving Friday

Thanks cadgirl. Well said. I currently have a big epiphone hummingbird which is shaped like the d28 so I’m used to the size. But size was a definite consideration before I got my hummingbird. I am going to the local shop and play around with one though.
