Why I'm Here

I started playing guitar when I retired at age 63.  I was always interested in playing but never had time during my working years.  I spent a few years trying to teach myself online, a few years with a flatpicking instructor, and started playing rhythm guitar with our local church a few years ago.  I also had started to participate in a group open Mic at a nearby Metro Park before the pandemic.  All these experiences have moved my guitar playing along as well as could be expected for an old guy, and I’d like to keep progressing.  I’m a pretty good strummer, but have lot of room for improvement on finger picking, improvising and soloing.

My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

In the next three months I would like to complete the flatpicking course and progress onto the fingerpicking course.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

In a perfect week I will play every day, seven days, at least once a day, but usually several sessions a half hour or more each.  I practice mornings just after breakfast, or evenings after dinner, depending on what my obligations for the day are.  My practice is a combination of TAC lessons, songs I’m interested in learning, and Church Music I practice for playing at Sunday Services.  During the winter I usually play in a finished Rec Room in the basement, but during the summer I like to practice in a screened back porch.
