My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

Since I’ve established a good pattern of playing everyday from the last three months (a small win), and as I didn’t get too far on the goals from that era (small loss), I’m going to be a bit more specific in the next 3 months…First off, I want to learn at least 3 songs starting with “All Along the Watchtower” which got into my head somehow. The other 2 will be in another style of playing. As my practice room is in the attic, I’ve parked myself infront of an office desk and I want to relocate to another area up here with more space and where my sound system is. This is so I can better listen to some tunes and be able to start and stop them easily to try and figure out chords and melody lines. I’ll continue my quest with learning music theory and besides working on modes, I want to learn other chords such as add nine, sixth, and suspended…

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

Since I have started to commit more to the guitar, I tend to play everyday now… so in the mornings up in my attic, I have this mash up of Monday warmups that Tony has put out over time. They are just the finger things he does and I work this routine up the neck. After this, I’ll do the daily TAC task, then I will usually work on either a song or a lick that has taken over my mind. In the late afternoons, I usually get back up into the attic and grab the guitar for scales, modes, triades and whatever else I’m trying to learn….dinner brings me downstairs, I return around 11:00 pm for more guitar as I watch the news and you tube or whatever…This is the normal routine during weekdays, weekends tend to be a lttle different…
