Hi everyone! Â I started playing a few years ago, but got frustrated with traditional lessons. I stumbled upon Tony on YouTube and find his way of teaching to be exactly what I am looking for. Although I’m more of a metal/rock music fan, I appreciate all types of music and what each genre has to offer. I’m so excited to learn and to get to know everyone here at TAC!
I am lucky enough to own two guitars; a beautiful acoustic mahogany Sigma 000M-15, and an Epiphone Les Paul custom pro, played on a Line 6 amp. Â I inherited both the inspiration to finally learn the guitar and the Epiphone itself from my son, when he upgraded to a beautiful new custom shop Gibson. I am also an intermediate piano player, but have always felt compelled to pick up the guitar, so here I am!

I'm really here looking for the ability to just pick up the guitar after a hard day and play for my own enjoyment. At this point I am not looking to write or play in a band, but to get good enough to be able to play with a few friends if the occasion presents itself. Â I also love the idea of theory, but only have a basic knowledge from my piano playing. Â I'm looking forward to brushing up on it and learning more. A few of the guitar players I know, learned only from tabs and learning chords, and I can see their frustration of not understanding theory or reading notes. I feel that to be even an intermediate player, a person can really benefit from this knowledge. I love the way Tony presents this information. It's all starting to make sense!
