| Why I'm Here |
I have noodled on guitars for decades but never got beyond chords and noodling to tunes. Mainly because I find practice hard and lack time. Now TAC is getting me back to regular-ish practice and having fun. I own a Yamaha acoustic and a Tanglewood Memphis (Gibson 335 copy) electric which I play through a stomp box and headphones to avoid neighbourhood riots and a divorce. Listen to a lot of music from 60s to now…blues, jazz, rock, folk, Americana. Favourite guitarists include Peter Green, Paul Kossoff, Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, Larry Carlton, Joni Mitchell, Elliot Randall, John Martyn, Ry Cooder, George Harrison, Richard Thompson….plenty more besides. I live on a fruit farm in rural Angus Scotland near Dundee and enjoy semi-retirement with my family, black labrador Branna and adopted farm cat Mr Bing.
