My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

I am working on learning to play and sing Heartbeats by Jose Gonzales, and Eva Cassidy’s cover of Fields of Gold. By the end of 90 days, I want to be able to play and sing along to their performances.

In a perfect week, I will play everyday after work, and in the afternoons on the weekends.  I play in my home office and sometimes on the couch.

Why I'm Here

I started to learn guitar Christmas 2017 when I bought myself a Yamaha FG800.  I’ve used online tutorials on youtube to learn the basics of strumming and fretting chords, and ultimate-guitar.com for getting chord sheets.  I’ve really enjoyed learning how to play songs I like, but I’m limited right now in what I can tackle.  Now, I’d like to learn more about music theory, fingerstyle, flatpicking, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and how to use the whole fretboard other than just using a capo to change the key.
