Hi Everyone:
Sounds like a journey many of us have been wanting to take. I don’t know about, but I have had the very moments described by Tony! Not knowing if this is really for me or not. About a year ago, I made a decision to re-learn the guitar from scratch and along with a book “How to play the guitar – step by step” and a range of different on-line lessons, the fun of reintroducing myself to a long lost friend began. I started on the cello way back as a teen and after making great progress decided to shift to bass-guitar and finally to the acoustic. But, both the nature and demands of my work meant that often times the guitar stayed in its case and my students took first priority.
While my students do continue to take high priority, I made a personal decision to look after my needs more and so the renewed interest in playing the acoustic guitar. I currently play an Epiphone and back in Australia I have a Maton (same brand as Tommy Emmanuel plays), from 1980, which is a magic acoustic, but not one I take with me on the road.

Picking up the guitar and beginning to play music again is as good as it gets for me and I could think of no better way to move into the fretboard and into the style of playing I love than being taught by Tony. He knows the deal better than I think any on-line guitar guy I have encountered so far. Getting better at guitar is a very high priority to me as it provides the kind of self-expression I need, plus I want to come out of the closet and begin to connect with others who also have a passion for music and playing acoustic.
My interests are flat picking, bluegrass, blues and fingerpicking.
