My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

My goal for the next 3 months is to practice every weekday and if I practice at the weekends that’s a bonus! I would like to be confident at finger picking by then and to be able to cleanly switch between chords.

I have a little finger injury, which is another reason why I picked up the guitar, to rehabilitate it. I ripped the tendons (mallet finger) in my left little finger and doctor said I wouldn’t get full range of movement back (which I disagreed!). Playing Guitar has helped get full movement back, although my finger lags sometimes in chord changes. I know it will get stronger the more consistently I play.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

In a perfect week I will play every day. I will do the weekday lessons and practice my own songs either after or at the weekends as bonus practice!

I will practice weekdays straight after I have my dinner. This will help me get more consistent in my eating too. I will aim to eat by 6.30pm latest. If I’m hyper-focused I can forget to eat so I’m hoping by tying these two things together I have double the chance of success!!!

I will play on my stool in my boat. I will also commit to playing at the song circle once a month (twice or more is a bonus) on a Wednesday so I get used to playing with/for other people.

I know this is not related to this course but I also have singing practice that I have been inconsistent with so I am going to keep a log here too of my intentions for that. I will add my 10 mins singing exercises onto my daily morning Meditation and Mantras practice (which is the only thing I am generally consistent with!).
