Why I'm Here

I started picking when I was seventeen. That would be 51 years ago. Whoa, daddy!! Back then the scene was folk music. Holy cow Batman. Guys like Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, John Fahey etc. I performed in small venues during my college years. When I saw the movie “Bonnie And Clyde” and heard Earl Scruggs do his thing in the sound track I was hooked. I bought a banjo and didn’t look back for 35 years. Now I am back into guitar and learning for the first time flat picking style. I’m probably at an intermediate level and I play for my personal enjoyment. My guitars include:
Martin D28
Gibson Singer/Songwriter
D’Angelico D500 Bowery
Epiphone EJ200
Gretsch Electromatic
Fender American Deluxe Strat
Fender American Deluxe Tele
Fender Resonator

City

It is simply a matter of progression. I practice and play daily, some days I play at it for four to six hours. Never less than two. But hey, I'm retired. I have that kind of time to devote to my guitar playing passion.
