I have played at the guitar since I was 17, doing things in my own way, (dabbling), with a large amount of putting my guitar down for long periods. My wife’s long term disability kept me from being able to make much progress. She was afflicted with MS, later diabetes, later congestive heart failure and as she slowly became more dependent on me for her care, I was unable to improve in my playing. My main goal since she passed away was to play for a Bible study group but I found out that I could not do the latest and greatest songs but only those from about 40-50 years ago. I want to be able to join in with Christian contemporary music and sound reasonable.
