| Why I'm Here |
I’ve been strumming cowboy chords in first position since I was sixteen. Â That was back when a mullet haircut was not seen to be a crime against good taste. Â Over the years my dedication to playing guitar has waxed and waned. Â At times I had up to seven guitars but they were all cranking out the same cowboy chords.
My wife complains that I won’t play for anyone but myself in the backroom. Â She thinks that I sound good when she can hear me strumming away. Â After seeing my son learn fingerstyle guitar to a very proficient level plus five other instruments in the last year. Â That is right, five instruments, all proficient in one year. Â So seeing him do that and knowing his mother can’t carry a tune with a handle on it, I decided that I was going to buckle down and put some really effort into learning to play more advanced guitar. Â I’m old and don’t go clubbing or pubbing, so I have the time to put to good use.
I currently have a 34 year old Washburn D24S, 8 year old Epiphone Hummingbird, a one year old Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500RCE and a 2016 Gibson J-35

I love guitar music and I love guitars as works of art. Â I want to be able to entertain myself and family when we are together. Â I also want to be able to justify buying those dream guitars (Gibson Hummingbird, Gibson SJ-200) as more than beautiful works of art hung up on the walls.
