I’ve played rhythm guitar alone and in groups since my teens, usual in folk and bluegrass and early rock vocal groups.  In my dotage I want to go basic to basics in terms of techniques, and focus my growth concentrating on fingerpicking.  I want to learn Travis picking and other styles primarily to accompany vocals, rather than playing as a lead guitarist.
