| Why I'm Here |
Initially, 21 years ago I saw my children learn to play music and playing well after a couple of years. I was inspired and I wanted in. Guitar was the obvious choice for me as after research, I found that experts said it was the easiest instrument to learn. I took lessons, but my teacher moved, so I tried to learn on my own on and off for several years. Then I tried Rocksmith, YouTube, but always ended up trying to learn something way out of my league, so I went frustrated a lot. About a year ago after not picking up the guitar for several years, I decided I wanted to make it simple. Just play chords on an acoustic and sing along. Then I purchased an acoustic guitar and I was looking for structure and designed learning plan. I tried Fender play for a while. What caught my attention when I saw Tony’s video ad, that he applied the science behind learning and habit formation to his teaching philosophy. I just finished the “Atomic Habit” book a month before, so I joined TAC right there. That was November 2020. I am happy I found my happy place here.
