My Guitar Goal

What I'm Focused On Now

I completed Fretboard Wizard 1.0 and as Tony says it was like “giving me the keys to the kingdom.” It was a difficult course that took a long time but in the end you have a great knowledge of music theory as it applies to the guitar. You learn about the musical alphabet, keys, scales, and major and minor chords.

My new goal is to work through FW 2.0 at my own pace, which is not fast. I have already learned some new facts and am looking forward to learning more.

For the indefinite future, I plan to complete some of the more foundational courses. Specifically,

  • Your Next Six Chords
  • Flatpicking Jumpstart
  • Foundations of Fretboard Navigation
  • Strumming Jumpstart

I also plan to learn a new song every three months.

We’ll see where we end up after that.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

In a perfect week, I will play

  • Every day
  • In the afternoon
  • In my guitar room (aka the computer room)

Why I'm Here

After a few failed attempts over the past two decades, I finally want to learn how to play the guitar. I want to learn how to make, strum, and transition chords. I want to learn how to fingerpick. I want to learn music theory. Tony’s Acoustic Challenge seemed like a great way to learn, based on the infomercial, and accomplish these goals.
