| Why I'm Here |
I joined TAC in December of 2020 to make the new year a year of progress. I have played since my senior year of high school & now at age 62, I’m trying to regain some of what I have lost & hone some new skills & improve my old ones. I’m fairly good at fingerpicking, but want to learn better control with a flatpick & also learn a little improvisation. I have a good collection of guitars I have acquired over the years (my Guitarsenal was on episode 173 of Acoustic Tuesday if you’re curious). I’m a Printing Production Planner by occupation, although I will be retiring in June & want to devote more time to my music. I also am a renaissance fair goer usually dressed as a pirate, more specifically as a character inspired by Keith Richards in Pirates of the Caribbean. He played Jack Sparrow’s father & the keeper of the pirate code in several movies. I figured If I would dress as a pirate, I would take a famous guitar player as my inspiration.
