This is my first week back to playing guitar after a 30- year hiatus to make a living! I didn’t begin until Tuesday and my fingers are letting me know I need to spend more time playing again. thar said, I feel like I’m getting the fingertips back into playing mode.

My small win is in learning how to hold the pick and comfortably using it. I was always a strummer before now, and I’m looking forward to using the pick along with the strumming I had done before.

I think that’s great advice Mr. Murray. I was able to find the Zager line (used guitars only) in the local “guitar Center” store and tried out several used Zager guitars. While they had used Zager guitars, you can only buy new Zager’s online from their site. AFTER TESTING THESE IN THE STORE I DECIDED TO ORDER A NEW ZAG-CE50 from ZAGER ONLINE. Zager only sells their new guitars directly to the consumer so other than the used instruments I was able to find, one cannot order a new Zager from retail stores. I hope to purchase the ZA- 900CE Anniversary Edition in the future.

As a side note, I did purchase an Epiphone Hummingbird Pro from the “Guitar Center.” I believe we need to support local stores in our communities that give us the option of IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO GOODS And services. I feel like I needed to buy something directly from them for providing the opportunity for me to check out the Zager line. I am appreciative of the inventory the “Guitar Center” has and purchased another guitar from them that I really wanted to add to my limited collection.

    Here is my limited assessment:

    – The sound quality was excellent (as was the Case with many other guitars I tried including the ZAG-900 CE, Martin and Hummingbird Pro by example).

    – I was particularly pleased with the Zager’s ease of play. As I’ve grown older, I find it harder for me to move my arthritic hands across the neck like I did when I was younger. The Zager line made this task easier for me.

    – The strings are set slightly farther apart than the other guitars which made it easier for me to play cords efficiently (I’m coming back to playing guitar after a 30- year work hiatus and subsequent retirement… I needed something to focus on now that I’m all grown up!).

I hope this helps. I again want to say how important it is to support our local stores like “The Guitar Center” whenever possible. I recognize that I’m extremely fortunate to have the resources to buy multiple instruments and will continue to shop at “The Guitar Center” for guitars I hope to add to my collection in the future.
