The Orangewood guitars are really good for the price they are,
Also Art & Lutherie are great
One that wasn’t mentioned is Sigma guitars (under Martins)
Best is to try them (as others mentioned) and get to feel how they play in your hands, it’s the most important (besides how they sound)

i have to say, it took about a year for mine to feel much less painful too, with continuous attention. Make sure you continue to warm up and stretch all the time, as you can get flare ups. Also, remember to take frequent breaks. 😉

I agree with Mike. Guitar of a lifetime deserves to be hunted down, and tried. I find it more fulfilling and rewarding to go to a few stores, try a bunch and see what different shapes, tonewood combinations, how the necks feel etc… plus get advice from staff who could even play them to you so you can have a better idea of the voices of the guitars. Don’t rush and buy one online, but enjoy comparing and contrasting instead, then you will have a guitar you will love for life 🙂
