This was difficult for me. Fret 12 on are on the face of my guitar anr ita hard to get there. I did get it, but it would take a lot of practice to go at any speed but snail.

Tony, Had trouble seeing and figuring out the minor chords, Also, Need to know the muting technique, I was using the JustinGuitars side of the palm method, great exercise though, I had fun and could keep up to your tempo except for the minor key changes!

I’m having a lot of fun playing around with this one. I admit, I am not keeping to the script, but isn’t fun the #1 thing here? 1/8th notes instead of quarter notes, muting alternating with letting ring, etc. The only thing I am following is the chord changes. Learning this chord pattern using the muting technique is really what’s important, right?

While this is definitely not ‘my thing’ it did help me move up and down the neck quite a bit, so I appreciate that.

This may Just be my preference, but I find the high e minor chord (12th fret barred with ring and pinky fingers on the 14th fret) difficult to play as my ring finger would hang over the G string causing it to mute. So what I did was rearrange the fingering of the chord. Still barred 12th fret with index finger but put my ring finger on the high D string (where the pinky originally was) and let my middle finger cover the ring finger’s original position on the middle D string. So from low to high it looks like:
D – middle finger 14th fret, G – barred index 12th fret, B – barred index 12th fret, high D – ring finger 14th fretThe downside of this..getting into the C chord afterwards is a tad more difficult as you have to switch back to the pinky on top. It may not be for everyone but it helped me get sustained bass notes
