It was fun being back at the FNL VOM after a few weeks off working on other projects and travelling. Here’s an old song about a pesky bear.

Thanks Kim! The strum is one I use for most of the faster songs I play. It’s a “Do-Whack-A” or a “Boom-Chuck-A”, kind of a bluegrassy thing. It’s a root note with the thumb on the one count, then a down-up on the 2-and (on the high strings), then a 5th note with the thumb on the 3 count, and then another down-up on the 4-and. It gives it that root-5 alternating Johnny Cash type rhythm.

@NorCal_Nolan, what a fun song. We had a campfire song in Girl Scouts and that was the only bear song I knew for years. I’ll add this one to my memory…thanks. You did it well as usual!
