  “The Counter” Original VOM FNL 11-12-21

  This is one of 2 originals that flowed out of a discussion on writing lyrics. I made a comment that ~”My 2 scents, might not make sense….” or something like that and jokingly stated that was a lyric. Turned out it was. Started writing, and this song started to emerge but it was darker than I intended…. so I set it aside and went back to writing a different, lighter song with the “2 cents” lyric. Ended up with two songs instead of one.
  Still some work to do on this one.

  That was a great original song @TMutter 👏👏👏 and a really nice performance too👍👍 The lyrics painted a vivid picture and the music was plain enough to keep the interest in the story you were telling🤔 Just the way John Prine would do a song😎 Thanks for posting Terry, I enjoyed listening

  Excellent song Terry, and yes it was much in the style of JP so kudos for that ! 😎
