Just recently discovered this song written by Brad Skistimas, who no doubt expresses the frustrations all of us have had since the pandemic entered into our lives in 2020. If you know this Five Times August song as it was released last year, you will notice I made a few lyric substitutions to make it a tad more palatable for TAC viewing.

Five Times August is the band name and solo act of singer/songwriter Brad Skistimas. Skistimas is considered a pioneer and an expert “do-it-yourself” indie artist having been featured in Billboard Magazine, Performing Songwriter, Guitar Player, People Magazine, and USA Today. He was the first completely unsigned act to have an album distributed in Walmart stores nationwide with 2007’s titled “The Independent”. The album’s music has been featured on many popular TV shows, commercials, and films. In 2021 Five Times August began releasing a series of protest songs taking aim at COVID-era regulations. This is one of them.

The painting (print) behind me is “Prince of Peace” by child prodigy, Akiane Kramarik, the only known binary genius in both realistic art and poetry. She painted this masterpiece at age eight in 2002. However, this painting has a remarkable story of being lost until 2019 when it was “resurrected” and reunited after lost 15 years. It is a captivating tale of disappointment, deception and deceit with the painting’s second coming as a gift to the world with the artist stating it represents Love, Unity and Peace.

Hey Guitargeezer-Jack I’m having audio troubles tonight, so I couldn’t really hear the song very well. Hopefully I will get it straightened out soon and give it another listen.
