I have always held Martins on a pedestal since I was a kid. That’s why I bought the Martin D28. I should have done my homework and realized that it was not going to be a good guitar for me or for finger picking. I looked at the Martin line and I didn’t see anything that I really liked or that was suited to me. I investigated guitars before buying the Taylor 812. Also made sure I went to guitar stores trying guitars out this time and was able to do comparisons. I paid more than I wanted to, but, the plan is not to get rid of it. 🙂
